Dental pain shouldn’t wait. Neither should you.
Toothache, swelling, broken teeth, lost fillings, and dental abscesses assessed promptly by our regular dental team. Emergency appointments are £250 and include a focused assessment, small X-rays where needed, and routine emergency treatment where clinically appropriate on the day.
Experiencing a dental emergency right now? Call us on 01884 32240 — or WhatsApp +447 413 884689 — and we will do everything we can to see you today.
If you are experiencing severe facial swelling affecting your eye, airway, or ability to swallow; difficulty breathing; uncontrolled bleeding; or serious facial trauma — call 999 or contact NHS 111 immediately. Do not wait for a dental appointment.
Symptoms that warrant an emergency appointment
If you are experiencing any of the following, do not wait for a routine appointment. Early assessment can often make treatment simpler and help avoid the problem worsening.
Toothache · Dental abscesses · Abscess drainage · Temporary fillings · Lost or broken fillings · Recementing crowns where clinically suitable · Simple extractions · Fractured teeth · Broken or lost dentures · Urgent X-rays
Treatment is subject to clinical assessment on the day. Not all presentations can be fully resolved in a single emergency appointment.
What does an emergency appointment cost?
Emergency appointments are £250. This covers a focused assessment, X-rays of the affected area where needed, diagnosis, and routine emergency treatment where clinically appropriate on the day. A separate oral health assessment appointment is required for a comprehensive examination — we will discuss this with you before you leave.

Your emergency appointment, step by step
From the moment you contact us to leaving the chair, we aim to make the process straightforward.
From emergency patient to registered patient
Many of our most long-standing patients came to us first in an emergency. Once the immediate problem is resolved, they stayed — because the quality of care, the thoroughness of the assessment, and the clarity of the communication were noticeably different from what they had experienced elsewhere.
Comprehensive Assessments
Getting started.
If you have not had a stable dental home in Torbay, or if you have been putting off dealing with dental issues that go beyond today’s emergency, we would like to help you address them properly. A comprehensive oral health assessment with Dr Streamer is the appropriate starting point.
Why Gold's Place Dental?

Payment Plans
Our membership plans are a straightforward way to manage the cost of keeping your teeth healthy — paying a fixed monthly amount rather than a larger sum at each visit. Plans are available at different levels to suit your needs.
Our most popular plan includes one oral health assessment and two hygiene appointments per year, covered by a simple monthly payment. For most patients returning to regular dental care, this is the right starting point.

FAQs
Here are some of the most commonly asked questions about Dental Implants. At Gold's Place Dental, we take a personalised approach to every treatment, ensuring care is tailored to your individual needs. If you have any questions or would like further information, our team will be happy to help.
You can book directly via our online patient portal, which is available at any time. If you would prefer to speak to someone — or if you are in significant discomfort and would like confirmation that an appointment is available today — please call us on 01884 32240 during practice hours. You are also welcome to contact us via WhatsApp on +44 7413 884689
Call us immediately — time is the most critical factor. If you have the tooth, handle it only by the crown (the visible part), not the root. Do not scrub or disinfect it. If possible, place it back in the socket; if not, keep it moist in a small container of milk or, if milk is unavailable, in your own saliva. Do not store it in water. Re-implantation is sometimes clinically possible, particularly within the first 30 to 60 minutes. Call 01803 389222 as you travel to us.
Note: this guidance applies to adult (permanent) teeth only. Do not attempt to reinsert a baby tooth — contact us for advice.
No. We understand that attending in pain, often unplanned, is a particularly difficult experience for patients who already find dental visits stressful. Your dentist will explain what they are doing at each stage, and nothing will proceed without your understanding and consent. If you are anxious, please say so when you book — it is helpful information, and we will make it part of the appointment brief. The goal of the emergency appointment is to resolve the immediate problem and, if you wish, to have a conversation about how we can make future care less difficult
